Pentacoordinated complexes of octaphenyltetraazaporphine indium(III) with m
onodentate acido-ligands [(X)InOPTAP] (X = F, Cl, Br, SCN, or OCN) were syn
thesized, and their electronic absorption,H-1 NMR, and IR spectra were stud
ied. It was shown that two nitrogen meso atoms of the tetraazaporphyrin mac
rocycle successively enter into complete acid-base interaction in a proton-
donating CH2Cl2-CF3COOH medium. Concentration dissociation constants were d
etermined for the resulting acidic forms.
