Abstract
Reaction of monoethanolamine NH2CH2CH2OH (Etm) with a mixture of isomeric c is- and trans[PtCl2(NCPh)(2)] complexes resulted in the formation of inner- sphere amidines and replacement of the chloride ligands by Etm. Isolation g ave pure [Pt( NH=C(Ph)NHCH2CH2OH](2)(Etm)(2)][PtCl4] compound.
