Abstract
Isotope shift aa (Dy-160-Dy-164) in 40 spectral lines of neutral dysprosium atom (Dy I) are reported in the region 3400-3865 Angstrom; no earlier stud y of isotope shift in Dy I spectrum exists in this region. The studies were carried out on a photoelectric recording Fabry-Perot spectrometer and high ly enriched isotopic samples of Dy-160 and Dy-164. Using the present data, the level isotope shift, Delta T (Dy-160-Dy-164), have been evaluated for 2 7 even and three odd parity high lying energy levels of Dy I. 4f(9)5d6s6p c onfiguration have been suggested for six even parity levels in the 35 000-4 0 400 cm(-1) region.
