The study presents a definition of pseudopsychology based on Popper's appro
ach of falsification possibility as the criteria of psychological knowledge
. Examples are given from the history of Czech and Slovak psychology, which
justifiably criticized pseudopsychology. The skeptical approach to pseudop
sychology should be used over and over again. At the same time, openness to
ward research of phenomena which have yet to be adequately clarified should
be maintained.
