The aim of this paper was the determination of the nematofauna associated w
ith a rosemary clone of the mircene chemotype obtained from INTA (National
Centre for Agropecuarian Research) Castelar, Buenos Aires, and with two clo
nes of 608 and 2044 lavender, obtained from the locality of La Cumbre, Prov
ince of Cordoba, Argentina.
The three clones were sown in experimental plots of 20 m(2) each at the Cer
rillos Department, Province of Salta, Argentina. Samples of infected roots
were taken at a distance of 20 cm from the collar and at a depth of 40 cm.
Determination was carried out on the basis of perineal section patterns eff
ected in adult females, according to Taylor's and Sasser's techniques.
The presence of Meloidogyne javanica (Treub, 1885) Chitwood, 1949 was deter
mined in rosemary and of Meloidogyne incognita (Kofoid and White, 1919) Chi
twood, 1949 in the two lavender and rosemary clones.
