Abstract
Eighteen strains of thermophilic fungus Thermomyres lanuginosus were screen ed for amplolytic activities. All of them produced extracellular amylolytic enzymes. Three strains were selected for detailed studies on their product ion of glucoamylase and cc-amylase. The optimum conditions for the assays o f amylolytic activities were selected. The optimum parameters were found to be the following: 70 degrees C and pH 4.6 for glucoamylase and 70 degrees C and pH 5.0 for alpha-amylase.
