S. Nestorovich et al., INFLUENCE OF ROLLING SCHEDULE ON CHARACTERISTICS OF THERMOMECHANICALLY TREATED CUBE2 ALLOY, Bulletin of Materials Science, 20(3), 1997, pp. 337-347
Thermomechanical treatment of CuBe2 alloy was performed as follows: qu
enching, primary ageing, cold rolling and secondary ageing at differen
t temperatures. The cord rolling was carried out following two deforma
tion schedules (with different intensity of deformation). The investig
ation results on influence of deformation intensity and secondary agei
ng temperature on hardness, electrical conductivity, structure and act
ivation energy on thermomechanically treated CuBe2 alloy are presented
. It was found that the deformation intensity had the greatest influen
ce on hardness upon secondary ageing at 270 degrees C. A hardness of 4
70 HV was attained by use of higher deformation intensity schedule whi
le a hardness of 390 HV was attained with lower deformation intensity
schedule.
