Abstract
This paper presents the results of an investigation aimed at determining th e level of pollution caused by vehicular traffic in some urban and rural ar eas of Rieti city. PAHs and Pb, Mn, Cr, Cd, Al, Co, Fe, As, Ni and Zn prese nce was assessed and measured by analysing moss specimens coming from the a bove mentioned areas. Statistical analysis of such data showed a good corre lation between some of the named pollutants.
