Abstract
Water-soluble palladium(II) bathophenanthroline is a stable, recyclable cat alyst for the selective aerobic oxidation of terminal olefins to the corres ponding 2-alkanones in a biphasic liquid-liquid system. Kinetic measurement s indicate that the active catalyst is a homogeneous mononuclear species. ( C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
