Abstract
A simple and rapid method for the preparation of a cell-free extract with t he CCAAT-binding activity was established with Aspergillus nidulans as a mo del fungus. Proteins were extracted with 6 M guanidine hydrochloride direct ly from mycelia and renatured by dialysis. This method was found applicable to other filamentous fungi such as Aspergillus oryzae and Trichoderma viri de.
