Pc. Leverd et al., Using a large calixarene as a polyalkoxide ligand: tert-butylcalix[12]arene and its complex with the uranyl cation, CHEM COMMUN, (6), 2000, pp. 493-494
tert-Butylcalix[12]arene (H12L) encompasses two uranyl bimetallic units ins
ide its cavity to form [HNEt3](2)[{(UO2)(2)(NO3)(py)}(2)(H4L)] 1, the first
metal complex of a large calixarene; the comparison of the crystal structu
res of 1 and H12L shows a relatively limited influence of metal coordinatio
n on the conformation of the macrocycle.
