A mechanism of appearance and disappearance of the Efimov levels of the hel
ium He-4(3) trimer is studied in the case where the force of interatomic in
teraction varies. The resonances (including virtual levels) are calculated
by means of solving a boundary value problem for the Faddeev differential e
quations describing the (2 + 1 -> 2 + 1; 1 + 1 + 1) scattering processes. (
