Comparison of properties of fluorapatites prepared by solid state reactionand precipitation

Fluorapatites were prepared by solid state reaction and by precipitation at 100 degrees C. The influence of sintering temperature on chemical and phas e compositions of fluorapatites was evaluated. The samples were sintered at different temperatures for 60 minutes, in Ar gas flow. The determination o f phase and chemical compositions of the samples was done by XRD and by ana lytical methods whose accuracy and reproducibility were assessed previously .
