Abstract
Conversion of triacyl-glycerols to fatty acids and glycerol by lipase in a scaled-up, jacketed, nat type membrane bioreactor is reported. The reaction was carried out in semi-continuous mode of operation. Based on the experim ents using rape seed oil as substrate, it seems possible to realise the con tinuous enzymatic fat/oil hydrolysis.
