The aim of the thermodynamic consistency test is the examination of corresp
ondence between the basic thermodynamic equations and a given calculation o
f measured data. In this test we have to face the problem of choosing an ap
proximating function that causes negligible error with respect to the error
s of measured data. We discuss the different solutions of Vapour Liquid Equ
ilibrium and Speed of Sound data testing focused on numerical mathematics a
nd information technology. We present - as Internet downloadable files: res
ults of general formal algebraic calculations, software and thermodynamic e
xamples - the application of our newly developed numeric approximation meth
od, minimal energy Bezier surfaces over triangles and rectangles. The appro
ximated surfaces are depicted by an own developed PASCAL graphic software t
hat can be downloaded, as well.
