Abstract
This correspondence addresses the problem of robust diagonal stabilization for discrete-time systems. Linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions are de rived for the search of a diagonal solution to the associated Lyapunov equa tion. This approach can be applied to guarantee stability of quantized syst ems and to find numerous illustrative applications, e.g,, for the design of robust digital filters.
