Abstract
We present the first dual tone multiple frequency (DTMF) signal detector th at meets the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Q.24 DTMF standar d when implemented on an S-bit microcontroller. Key innovations include the use of adaptive notch filters and sophisticated decision logic. The DTMF d etector is well suited for a multichannel digital signal processor implemen tation.
