Abstract
Solitary mastocytoma in infants is an uncommon disease which is characteriz ed by mast cell hyperplasia and release of mast cell mediators. The most co mmon presentation is pruritus. The treatment of solitary mastocytoma is sym ptomatic. Cutaneous mastocytoma tend to resolve by adulthood. (C) 2000 Else vier Science Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
