Abstract
The formation of molecular complexes of maleic anhydride with same substitu ted imidazoles in acetonitrile, dimethylformamide, and dimethyl sulfoxide w as studied. The selection of 2-methylimidazole as a reagent for the photome tric determination of maleic anhydride in the dimethyl sulfoxide medium was substantiated using kinetic and spectrometric techniques.
