Abstract
The equation of state of He-4 confined to one spatial dimension is computed by Diffusion Monte Carlo simulations. The ground state is a weakly bound l iquid, with a binding energy per particle of about 1.7 nK, ay a density app roximately equal to 0.036 Angstrom(-1).
