Abstract
Magnetic measurements under pressures up to 67 kbar have been performed on low-doped La1-xSrxMnO3 (x = 0.1) single crystals in order to elucidate the relative stability of the ferromagnetic state, occurring below the Curie te mperature, and the charge ordered state occurring at lower temperature's. O ur data clearly show that, at least up to 34 kbar, both states are stabiliz ed under pressure. At higher pressures an unidentified new magnetic transit ion, having well-defined signatures in the AC magnetic susceptibility, has been discovered. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
