Abstract
Epitaxial La2/3Ca1/3MnO3 thin films were prepared by a nontraditional solut ion-based metalorganic aerosol deposition technique. The specimens show a m etal-insulator transition temperature T-p = 150-250 K and a maximal magneto resistance ratio Delta R/R(5 T) = 160-1400%. A 'colossal magnetoresistance' of about 10(5)% was observed in a La2/3Ca1/3MnO3/LaMnO3 (10 nm x 10 nm) mu ltilayer. Magnetotransport properties depend on the microstructure of the f ilms.
