Abstract
Densities and speeds of sound for the ternary mixture (cyclohexane + tetrah ydrofuran + chlorocyclohexane) and the binary mixtures (cyclohexane + tetra hydrofuran) and (cyclohexane + chlorocyclohexane) have been measured at 298 .15 and 313.15 K. The isentropic compressibilities and the excess isentropi c compressibilities have been calculated from the experimental data Excess isentropic compressibilities of the mixtures have been fitted to Redlich-Ki ster's (binary mixtures) and Cibulka's equation (ternary mixture). The isen tropic compressibilities have been compared with values calculated from the Free Length Theory and Collision Factor Theory. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
