Abstract
The optical problems in the visualization of information, including optical information technologies and their optical element base, are analyzed. The main areas analyzed are: optical information technologies, optical informa tion carriers, optically controlled transparencies or spatial light modulat ors, deflectors, optical screens, and the optics of projection systems.
