Abstract
A numerical method for singularly-perturbed self-adjoint boundary-value pro blems for second-order ordinary differential equations subject to Neumann b oundary conditions is proposed. In this method (booster method), an asympto tic approximation is incorporated into a finite-difference scheme to improv e the numerical solution. Uniform error estimates are derived for this meth od when implemented in known difference schemes. Numerical examples are pre sented to illustrate the present method.
