Abstract
Antigen-presenting cells work to present peptides derived from exogenous an d endogenous antigens to circulating T cells, sparking off an immune respon se. Dendritic cells are unique amongst antigen-presenting cells, not least for their newly described ability to circumvent the need to internalize exo genous antigens before presenting them.
