Abstract
Mucormycosis resulting from infection by a group of fungi from the order Mu corales The disease usually affect patient with underlying disorders that impair th e inmune system. Primary infections often involve lungs, nasapharynx the skin and gastrointe stinal tract. Kidney afection is extremedly infrequent We present two unusual cases of patients presenting with acute renal failur e resulting from renal mucormycosis. Renal mycosis (mucormycosis)should be considered part of the differential d iagnosis in patient with predispose factors, who present with fever flank p ain, pyuria and negative blood and urine cultures, with or without acute re nal failure.
