Abstract
We show experimental evidence of the propagation of spatial coherence beams between the aperture stop plane of the critical illuminator and the object plane of optical microscopes. This was concluded from the comparison of th e visibility curves of Young's interferograms properly acquired. Fourier an alysis was applied to obtain these curves. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
