(d)over-bar-(u)over-bar asymmetry of the proton in a pion cloud model approach - art. no. 054006

We study the (d) over bar-(u) over bar asymmetry of the proton in a model a pproach recently developed, in which hadronic fluctuations of the nucleon a re generated through gluon splitting and recombination mechanisms. Within t his framework, it is shown that both (d) over bar/(u) over bar and (d) over bar-(u) over bar distributions in the proton can be consistently described by including only nucleon fluctuations to \pi N] and \pi Delta] bound stat es. Predictions of the model closely agree with the recent experimental dat a of the E866/NuSea Collaboration.
