We present a QCD sum rule calculation of the Isgur-Wise form factor tau(1)(
upsilon.upsilon') and tau(2)(upsilon.upsilon') for the semileptonic decays
B --> D-1(2420)l<(nu)over bar> and B --> D-2* (2460)l<(nu)over bar> in the
framework of heavy quark effective theory. These two universal functions, a
ssociated with the matching of the weak currents in QCD onto those in the e
ffective theory, appear at the order 1/m(Q) in the heavy quark expansion of
meson weak decay form factors.
