The effect of the intramolecular coupling on the resonances associated to t
he Four-wave mixing signal is studied in the present contribution. The tran
sition and permanent dipole moments are critical quantities for this analys
is of the local macroscopic polarization in the adiabatic representation wh
en the rotating wave approximation is not considered. New characteristics o
f the resonance, emerging as a consequence of the vibronic coupling, are st
udied here in the framework of a local homogeneous-linewidth third-order pe
