Abstract
We have fabricated La0.7Sr0.3MnO3/SrTiO3/La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 heteroepitaxial tri layer structure on 5 X 10 mm(2) LaAlO3 (100) substrate using the sol-gel me thod. The CPP (current perpendicular to the plane) resistance measurement s hows characteristics of tunneling transportation in the trilayer structure with thick barrier. The experimental results indicated that the large areas La0.7Sr0.3MnO3/SrTiO3/La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 heteroepitaxial trilayer with thick a nd rough-interfaced barrier is an alternative structure to make use of spin -dependent tunneling effect rather than the tunneling junctions.
