Abstract
Within the framework of Lanczos-inspired perturbation theory, wave function s and energies in the short-range potential V(x) = a rho(2)(x) + lambda rho (4)(x) with rho(x) = sech alpha x and a small coupling lambda are shown obt ainable in closed form.
