Tc. Chang et al., Organic-inorganic hybrid materials - 3. Characterization and degradation of poly(imide-silica) hybrids doped with LiCF3SO3, POLYM DEGR, 68(1), 2000, pp. 103-109
Lithium salts-containing hybrids were prepared by hydrolysis-condensation o
f tetramethoxysilane (TMOS) in solution in N,N-dimethylacetamide(DMAc) cont
aining 10 wt% trifluoromethanesulfonate (LiCF3SO3) and (3-aminopropyl)methy
l diethoxysilane (APrMDEOS) terminated amic acid. Infrared (IR), Si-29 and
C-13 CP/MAS nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, thermo-mechanica
l analysis (TMA), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were used to study v
arious hybrids. The spin-spin relaxation time T-2 of the hybrid was studied
to probe the role of the salt. The apparent activation energy E-a for degr
adation of hybrids in air was evaluated by the van Krevelen method. (C) 200
