Abstract
This investigation is concerned with the performance analysis of a con ventional hybrid photovoltaic/thermal air heating collector. A simulat ion model is developed and various performance parameters are calculat ed for single-glass and double-glass configurations. Results are prese nted to show the effect of various design and operational parameters o n the performance of a system. These results are useful for designing such systems more scientifically. However, final selection of design a nd operational variables must be based on the cost-effectiveness of th e system. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
