Abstract
We present experimental results on the first computer-generated wavegu ide hologram based on an InGaAsP-InP waveguide for 1550-nm optical wav elength. The potential of waveguide holograms as optical interfaces at fiber optical communication wavelengths is demonstrated by the succes sful operation of a waveguide-to-free-space fan-out element producing a 4 x 4 spot array.
