The present work focuses onto the elaboration of enamels without lead, usin
g naturels inorganic substances. Its aim is to substitute the toxic enamels
, currently used in the artisanal sector (the case of the moroccan "tajine"
), in order to protect producers, consumers and environment. It should also
allow the valorization of some abundant natural substances of low cost. In
this paper, the chemical characteristics of the starting materials, a new
formulation of unleaded ceramic enamels; as well as the study of their phys
ico-chemical characteristics as a function of the processing temperature, a
re presented.
