Shadow of a doubt

As the president of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, I read with great interest the article in the "Issues in Dermatology" section entitled, "Is Pharmaceutical Sponsorship of a Dermatologic Conference Prop er?'' by H. A. Martino Neumann.(1) His considerations about ethics are very relevant. In fact, ethics merit a special consideration in all fields and, very specifically, in medicine.
