Abstract
On the basis of appropriate laboratory experiments, energy release and comp osition of explosion products were determined for the accident that occurre d at the Production Association "Mayak" (Chelyabinsk-40, Russia) in 1957. B ased on archive data, quantitative characteristics of the formed radioactiv e trace structure have been specified up to a distance of more than 100 km from the epicenter.
