The parallelization of implicit ADI schemes for the numerical solution
of the incompressible how problem was investigated, A multi-domain ve
rsion of the Douglas-Gunn ADI scheme was developed. Semi-implicit and
explicit methods for the determination of boundary values for the auxi
liary ADI functions on the interfaces between the sub-domains were imp
lemented and tested on a Meiko CS and on a SP2 MIMD computers. The par
allelization efficiency was analyzed using a theoretical model. The mo
del was utilized for an optimal choice of parallelization parameters.
The predictions of parallel efficiency obtained by the model compare w
