Abstract
A simple method based on the use of conditional probabilities, for deriving the particle cluster distribution is discussed for the site-percolation pr oblem. The method is applied to a fractal tree (Inhomogeneous Bethe lattice ) in the case of finite clusters. The extrema of the corresponding distribu tion are analytically analyzed and the known results for the homogeneous ca se are obtained. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
