The paper presents the proposition of non destructive testing (NDT) of the
rocket engine propellant rod. It presents the actual state of the research
and perspectives of its continuation. In this research, capacitance tomogra
phy system was used. The method was compared with the radiological and radi
ometric methods. Experiments were done with the use of solid propellant wit
h different pyrotechnic mass and artificial defects incorporated. Authors s
