Rk. Mandalam et Bo. Palsson, CELL-CYCLE OF CHLORELLA-VULGARIS CAN DEVIATE FROM THE SYNCHRONOUS BINARY DIVISION MODEL, Biotechnology letters, 19(6), 1997, pp. 587-591
Conditioned medium from high density Chlorella vugaris cultures was fr
eeze dried extracted into ethanol. The ethanol was volatilized and the
resulting powder then introduced with C. vulgaris photoautotrophic cu
ltures which underwent asynchronous DNA replication forming cells with
two, three, four, and six autospores instead of 2(n) characteristic o
f synchronous DNA replication, These cells were blocked at the divisio
n stage of the cell cycle.
