Abstract
In order to fabricate a compact cryocooled-magnet jellyroll-processed Cu/Nb 3Al conductors have been developed, The conductors containing Nb-rich Nb/Al ratio and alumina-Cu performed good ductility and high J(c) of 775 A/mm(2) at 12 T and 4.2 K, The conductor showed reduction of hysteresis loss as th e filament diameter decreased. The authors discuss difference In supercondu cting and mechanical properties between Nb3Al and Nb3Sn.
