Abstract
Y2O3-ZrO2 coatings on AgMg/Bi-2212 superconducting tapes have been prepared by the sol-gel route using Zr and Y based precursors. The coatings were an nealed at 862 degrees C for 24 h under oxygen atmosphere. The structure of coatings was characterized by SEM, EDS, DTA, TGA and XRD. Several precursor materials and solutions were tried. Preparation conditions were defined fo r optimum coating process.
