Abstract
We have obtained clear evidence that a copper(II)-peroxide adduct with an e ta(1)-coordination mode can cleave the C-N bond of a peptide group and hydr oxylate the alkyl group nearby; this may provide helpful information for el ucidation of the reaction mechanism of PAM, peptidylglycine alpha-amidating monooxygenase.
