Abstract
The properties of cerium trifluoride scintillating crystals, grown in Russi a using the Stockbarger's method, were investigated. The characteristics of CeF3, PbWO4, Bi4Ge3O12, and BaF2 crystals were compared for use in electro magnetic calorimeters to detect electrons and gamma-rays of medium and high energies.
