Abstract
Glass transition temperatures T-g and Raman spectra of KPO3.Lni(PO3)(3 ) (Ln = rare earth ion) glasses were measured for all rare earth membe rs (except Pm). From the series behavior of the T-g and Raman data, it is concluded that the coordination number around rare earth ions chan ges, probably from nine to eight, in the middle of the rare earth seri es.
