Abstract
A procedure for calculating the correct angle setting for a specific three- beam situation on a six-circle kappa diffractometer is outlined. It is expe rimentally shown that interference profiles can be recorded using this appr oach. Limitations owing to mechanical constraints, with particular emphasis on the ability to measure Friedel-related triplets, are discussed.
