Ke. Pustovoitov et Vo. Targulian, ILLUVIATION COATINGS ON COARSE FRAGMENTS AS A SOURCE OF PEDOGENETIC INFORMATION, Eurasian soil science, 29(3), 1996, pp. 297-308
Illuviation coatings on coarse fragments are considered to be a specif
ic, though poorly investigated, source of pedogenetic information. Thr
ee types of coatings have been identified in soils of cold humid, tran
sitional (semihumid-semiarid), and semiarid cryogenic landscapes of th
e northern Far East. An integrated research of coatings attests to rad
ically new opportunities of studying coarse fractions for morphogeneti
c purposes, as compared with the studies of fine earth.
